These extended length, low retention, non-sterile 0.1-10µl tips are high clarity tips that are natural in colour. Due to their Universal design, the tips are compatible with a variety of popular brand pipette models, including the Alpha+ range of pipettes. They are 46mm in length and graduated at 2µl and 10µl for quick volume verification. The extra length of the XL version allows the user to reach the bottom of many tubes without any part of the pipette entering the tube; thus avoiding possible cross-contamination between the sample and the pipette. Alpha Laboratories low-retention tips are made from a specially formulated hydrophobic resin that provides users with a higher degree of pipetting confidence and control. Enhanced hydrophobicity ensures less fluid retention and sample loss than standard tips, perfect when working with particularly viscous liquids. The cleaner liquid release also means that less time is wasted waiting for that final drop to fall from the end of the tip. Furthermore, the thinner walls and finely tapered tip construction eliminates the need to touch off against the vessel wall. Smaller volumes can be confidently managed without compromising pipetting precision and accuracy. Strict quality standards, per ISO 9001:2008, are followed from tip R&D to production and delivery. Each batch of tips is required to pass the highest level of Quality Assurance testing. The tips are certified RNase, DNase DNA and Pyrogen free. Sterile tips are further e-beam irradiated.
