Scales

Scales

There are scales in almost every doctor's office. It is important to choose the right balance.
Only calibrated and therefore calibratable scales are allowed to be used in the doctor's office.
Non-calibrated scales are sufficient for midwives, pharmacies and parents at home.

Depending on the application, there are regulations required by law for the scales and statutory requirements that must also be complied with during operation. E.g. calibration periods, labeling of the scales with calibration marks, as well as CE marking with notified body.
In particular it should be noted that since April 19, 2016, there has been an obligation to disclosure according to § 32 MessEG. The user is obliged to report new measuring devices (scales) to the responsible calibration authority within 6 weeks of commissioning. Failure to meet the deadline can result in a fine.
