Although carefully positioned in the Clarit-E gel tanks to avoid accidental damage, occasionally electrodes still break. With many gel tanks replacing an electrode can be difficult and time consuming. With Clarit-E gel tanks electrodes are designed in a cassette type format which can be detached by unscrewing a single screw. A replacement positive electrode cassette can be purchased and directly replaced in the gel tank. A screwdriver is required to undo the single holding screw.
Alternatively platinum wire can be purchased to rewire the electrode cassette if desired (EL1704).
